Used for testing the alcohol content of liquid from pre-distilled alcohol mash. While not quite as accurate as Potential Alcohol Hydrometer, a Vinometer is cheaper and simpler to use. Many people prefer to use both a Vinometer and a Potential Alcohol Hydrometer.
